For some perverse reason I watched (via the internet) some of the “Face-Off” debate from the US ABC network addressing the question “does Satan exist?” I’m sure these things are staged just to annoy me, and it certainly did its job!
Particularly annoying was Deepak Chopra. Pretty much whenever he said anything about the Bible or Jesus he simply got it completely wrong. I mean, what was that stuff about “me” in Aramaic being literally “the I within the I”? Which grammar did he get that from? Of course whenever anyone appeals to the Aramaic that stands behind the NT texts they’re skating on very thin ice. But appealing to Aramaic and then making a nonsensical point based on it, well that’s skating on thin ice with heated skates!
Of course when you plug his name into my Gematria Calculator it turns out his number is 337. Since that’s for his two names, when you double it and subtract the number of letters in his name you’re left with 666. So what do you suppose that tells you? Certainly this calculation carries about as much weight as his claims about the Bible and Jesus…
I should just stay away from such things, it’s not good for my nerves and it doth vex me greatly.
